Compulog Net

Compulog Net is Europe's Network of Excellence in Computational Logic, and is supported by the European Union's ESPRIT programme. Founded in 1991, this rapidly expanding network already links over 90 centres in European universities, research institutions, and companies.

The scientific objective of Compulog Net is to lay the foundations of an integrated software development environment for LP technology.

The main functions of the network are to coordinate research activities, to build infrastructure facilities, allocate and coordinate research training fellowships, and promote the exploitation of research by industry.

Main areas of research: constraint LP; deductive databases; knowledge representation and reasoning; program development; programming languages; parallelism and implementation technologies.
