EAPLS

Appeared in Volume 9/4, November 1996

Over the past few years, many ideas have been circulating about how to better organize programming in the European research community. An organization, tentatively called EAPLS (European Association for Programming Languages and Systems), has also been forming for some years. This message is to inform you that:

  1. There are WWW pages describing the EAPLS initiative. The main URL is: http://www.cwi.nl/~paulk/eapls/

  2. A voting procedure is being organized to determine the name and precise scope of EAPLS. Details can be found in the WWW pages.

  3. There is a mailing list for discussing EAPLS related matters: eapls@mailbase.ac.uk

You can join it by sending a message to:
mailbase@mailbase.ac.uk
containing the following line:
join eapls <yourfirstname> <yourlastname>

We seek your help, and ask you to draw your fellow researchers attention to this message.
