The Laboratory for Logic, Database, and Advanced Programming a newly established lab within the Dept. of Computer Science, New Mexico State Univ., Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA. The Laboratory was formally inaugurated by David S. Warren, President, ALP, on 15th April, 1994.

The Laboratory conducts research in the areas of LP, Deductive Databases, Object-oriented Databases, Programming Languages, and Parallel Processing. The lab is headed by Professors Gopal Gupta and Hector J. Hernandez of the Computer Science Department. Students associated with the lab are Javiar Du Pond, Agustin Gonzalez, Enrico Pontelli, and DongXing Tang, working on their PhD., and Rick Vaupel and Thomas Tenorio working on their Masters.

The lab owns a 4 processor Sun Sparc 10 running Sun Solaris OS, 4 Sun workstations and 7 X-terminals. In addition, it has a Sparc laser writer and a HP inkjet color printer. The lab also has direct access to a 20 processor Sequent Symmetry owned by NMSU CS Department, and to a number of other multiprocessors (Hypercubes, Connection Machines, KSR, etc.) through Sandia National Labs. The lab is supported by grants from NSF, Sandia National Labs, NATO, and AT&T.
