Written in Java, the Linda Interactor allows platform and vendor independent
Prolog-to-Java and Java-to-Prolog bidirectional connection over the net. The
source is available from:
http://clement.info.umoncton.ca/~tarau/LindaInteractor.tar.gz
Configurable security and remote execution mechanisms, Unix-style remote operation of Windows 95/NT PCs and the usual deductive abilities of a full-featured distributed logic programming language are available with the BinProlog 5.40/Linda Interactor combination. Knowledge and natural language processing abilities are among the advantages over Java-only and 'classical' integrated database/Internet applications.
The code is known to run under Java SDK 1.02 and 1.1 on Solaris, and under Microsoft's J++ on Windows'95/NT PCs.
The multi-threaded Interactor works in either server or client mode, and is intended to evolve into a Prolog-independent communication tool for distributed Java+Prolog applications.
