Interest Group on Propositional and Predicate Logics

Appeared in Volume 7/1, February 1994

We would like to invite you to join the Interest Group on Propositional and Predicate Logics (IGPL). Our main activity is that of a research and information clearing house, and there is no cost involved in joining the group. The group is part of The European Foundation for Logic, Language and Information (FoLLI). We currently have a membership of over 600 researchers in various aspects of logic (symbolic, computational, mathematical, philosophical, etc.) from all over the world.

Our activities include: exchanging information about research problems, references and common interest among group members; helping to obtain photocopies of papers (under the appropriate copyright restrictions), especially where there may be access difficulties; supplying review copies of books; helping to organise exchange visits and workshops among members; advising on papers for publication; editing and distributing a Newsletter, as well as a Bulletin which will quickly review and publish research papers, and will be available electronically (see the next news item), keeping a public archive of papers, abstracts, etc., accessible via FTP; wherever possible, obtaining reductions on group (6 or more) purchases of logic books from publishers.

If you want to join the IGPL or FoLLI, send an email to: igpl-request@doc.ic.ac.uk, with your details (name, address, etc.) and research interests. You can also send a letter to:

Dov Gabbay
Dept. of Computing
Imperial College

Email: dg@doc.ic.ac.uk
As a member you can send us scientific queries on any area of logic and logic and computation, requests for references, reviews, review copy books, etc.; we will act as clearing house for you. We have a large database and many connections.

Your name will not be distributed beyond our interest group, and you will not receive junk mail.

We look forward to welcoming you as a new member of IGPL and FoLLI.
