Logtalk 1.4

Appeared in Volume 10/2, May 1997

Keywords: OOP.

Logtalk is a free object oriented extension to Prolog (its name comes from Prolog and Smalltalk). It is based on a reflexive architecture, and implements simple inheritance and a delegation mechanism. Logtalk enables users to define new types of slots, each one with its own semantics, that can be reused by any object. It includes features for event-driven programming.

New/improved features in version 1.4 include:
much better relation handling; improved object creation; improved error-handling; new and improved examples; improved documentation tools; improved object and slot docs format; improved slot handling protocols; new configuration files for LPA WinProlog32 3.2 and QU-Prolog 4.1; updated user manual (available in HTML, Postscript and Latex).
