SICStus Debugger

Appeared in Volume 9/1, February 1996

The package has two main components:

1. Emacs support for the SICStus debugger which gives, in the shell or run-prolog buffer:

• Easy menu based access to debugger commands;

• Hiding/writing/printing of selected arguments;

• Optional source visibility for the predicate about to be entered;

• An Info node for SICStus builtins and library code.

• Bold predicate names, highlighted warnings, etc.

2. A source debugger for interpreted code that works with the emacs interface. This gives:

• An arrow showing the current source;

• The ability to set breakpoints at a particular line;

• Shift click on a line to leap to that line.

The source debugger is not yet completely integrated with SICStus, but should be useful to anyone who loads their code into the user module and doesn't use multifile declarations or something similar.

The system requires at least SICStus Prolog 3 PL3, and GNU Emacs 19.30.
