Vortex 3.0

Appeared in Volume 9/3, August 1996

Designed to invoke specific brain responses, Vortex can be used to read from computer screens at speeds in excess of 1000 words per minute. It uses an intelligent agent that participates in the reading process and through its display, augments your reading abilities. It was developed by Tenax Software Engineering using LPA's WinProlog.

Unlike traditional screen magnifiers, Vortex is not dependent upon complex scrolling. It has two main display modes supporting either total screen or large buttons for ease of use.

Vortex 3.0 offers native file support, large file navigation through visual file mapping, and enhanced user interface controls. Control the look of: fonts, font sizes, foreground/background colour, reading speed.

It runs under Windows 3.x, Windows 95 (up to and including 490). The Mac version will ship in October 1996.

Vortex 2.0 retails at $39.95 USD plus shipping.
