The new edition contains 24 chapters. The most significant changes are to Part III, Advanced Programming Techniques, where an extra chapter has been added on program transformation. There are new exercises, greatly improved typography, additional references, and an attempt to be compliant with the almost finalized Prolog standard.

The programs presented in the book are available via anonyomus FTP from ftp://ftp.cwru.edu/ArtOfProlog . There is a subdirectory for each chapter of the book containing the text of the programs in that chapter.
