32 Bit Prolog compilers for OS/2 ver 2.0.

1) Arity Prolog

2 to 5 times faster than the 16 bit version. Code is no longer compiled through the database. No limit on the number of atoms in an application. New PM debugger for PM-based applications. New ALINT utility to check declarations, style and typo. Nulti-threaded, multi-processing support. IBM C Set/2 is recommended, although not compulsory. Development environment is text based. Provides binding to SOM (limited support). No standard PM predicates (eg dialogue box) built-in. Requires about 2MB of disk space.< Currently Arity only sells it as a package: Arity/Prolog32 Premier Release Program. You pay US$ 2450 for the OS/2 version + Windows NT version (when available).

2) IBM SAA AD/Cycle Prolog/2

Cross platform development: can be ported to the System/370 environment. In MVS, execution under TSO, CICS and IMS are supported. Access to other languages such as RESS, C and assembler. Interpreter and incremental and full compilers. Customizable and tailorable syntaxes (IBM syntax and Edinburgh syntax) Over 500 built-in predicates and expressions. High-level interface to PM. Source-level debugger. Coherent development environment within the AD/Cycle framework, using the AD/Cycle Workstation Platform and conforming to SAA Common User Access 89 plus the AD/Cycle supplements. Knowledge subset facility. Can generate workspace (for cross platform development) but not OBJ files. Memory required: 5.3MB on top of OS. Disk space: 7MB for base + 5MB for OO extension.
