The first CHR programming contest was organized on 31 August 2010 at the occasion of the first CHR summer school. Most of the participating teams learned about CHR just one day before the contest was held. In total, 14 teams participated, of which 8 teams submitted 2 correct solutions and 1 team submitted 3 correct solutions.

The winning team was team number 9:

Before the contest, the teams first got some warm-up questions. Most of the teams also got a paper with hints for the main contest (with the notable exception of the team of Frank Raiser and Hariolf Betz, who decided not to use the hints because they were of course already very familiar with CHR).
