This project aims at finding answers to the following two fundamental scientific questions:
1. how can the expressive power of current propositional data mining techniques be increased? and
2. which constructions and concepts are needed in the development of database mining query languages?
Although the proposed research is fundamental in nature, planned contributions are applicable and technologically relevant. Indeed, a better understanding of query languages for data mining will create new possibilities for knowledge discovery and its tools.
