Dear Logic Programmers,

Welcome to the May/June 2007 issue of the ALP Newsletter.

As you may have noticed this issue appeared quite late, respect to its original expected date of publication. We are working hard to renovate the structure of the newsletter and this has caused some unexpected delays. Please accept my apologies.

We are approaching ICLP 2007. The ICLP team has been working around the clock to guarantee an exciting program, with interesting papers, a number of fantastic workshops, the doctoral consortium, and some very interesting co-located events (e.g., keep an eye on CLIMA, it always offers cutting edge presentations on the use of computational logic in multi-agent systems). I hope you will take the time to attend this event and help make it into the most successful ICLP ever.
In the meatime, the first steps have been taken towards ICLP 2008. The site has been tentatively selected - Udine, Italy. The general chair will be Agostino Dovier and the Program Committee will be led by Maria Garcia de la Banda and Enrico Pontelli.

Regarding this issue of the newsletter, I need to draw your attention on Bob and Luis' contributions about the Wikipedia entries for Logic Programming. The situation is far from being good and we, as a community, need to get on board and help Bob and Luis in their noteworthy efforts.

To bring this one to closure, I would like once again to welcome your comments/critics/suggestions/... on how you would like to see the ALP Newsletter evolve in the near and not-so-near future.
